These OHVs trails are great for enjoying the nature of Idaho without disturbing it. Whether you take the trail or carve your own path this winter, revel in a backyard playground so vast, that you’ll have to come again and again to experience it all.

1.Baumgartner Trails

Location: Featherville, ID

Dates Open:  Year-Round

Fees: Free

Idaho OHV registration sticker is need. And here have the limit to noise and vehicles sizes. Camping and campfire only permitted in developed sites only.

2.Canfield Mountain Trail System

Location:  Nettleton Gulch Road, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814

Dates Open:  Year-Round

Fees: Free

This track is 12800 acres and has 2250 to 4250 ft. Cause the steep terrain, this place is mostly recommend to amateur.

3.Caribou Loop Trail

Location:  Tincup Road, Wayan, ID 83285

Dates Open:  June through late fall

Fees: Free

This trail system is over the borders of Idaho and Wyoming. Although the trail is mostly hard pack and muddy and loose dirt but designed to be a leisure type, make it perfect for beginners.

4.Casino Creek

Location:   Little Casino Creek Road, Stanley, ID 83728

Dates Open: May 1 through November 30

Fees:  Free

This track is only open for motorcycles and dirt bikes. Camping and campfire is only permitted in developed sites.

5.Claypeak Recreation Area

Location:  2560 Highway 52, Payette, ID 83661

Dates Open: Daily dawn to dusk

Fees:  Free

Jeeps and Dune buggy is prohibited as well as camping. Visit the website often and check calendar for upcoming events.

6.Danskin Mountains OHV Area

Location:Blacks Creek Road, Boise, ID 83716

Dates Open: April 11 - December 31

Fees: Free

This off-road spot is a huge area with 160 miles of trail. There are good variety of terrain and good views.

7.Devil’s Corral

Location: Shoshone Falls Road, Jerome, ID 83338

Dates Open: Year-Round

Fees: Free

The area is open year-round but camping is nor permitted. Almost all types of vehicles are permitted. And its very friendly to novice.

8.Elk City Wagon Road

Location:  104 Main Street, Elk City, ID 83525

Dates Open:  Year-Round

Fees: Free

The main route is mostly hard pack with loose dirt and rock bt a few side trail to explore. All types of OHVs is permitted and the camping is allow in developed sites only.

9.Fourth of July Pass ATV Trails

Location: Copper Mountain Road, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814

Dates Open:  April - September 7

Fees:  Free

The trail has around 35 miles and the terrain is mostly hard pack and the elevation is challenge but can lat visitors see the great scenes.
