BBQ, live music, and hot temperatures will always make your day perfect for an exciting day of off-road riding. The state forests are very different from each other, from laid-back cruising to muddy, rocky terrain and steep hills that will test your skills and resolve. The lone star state lives up to its name.

1.Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area

Location: 6284 State Highway 155 N, Gilmer, TX 75645

Dates Open:  Friday - Sunday

Fees: $15/OHV;Non-Members - $30

A TX OHV Decal is required. All OHVs are welcome and camp anywhere. But no riding after 10pm.

2.Childress ATV Park

Location: 7287 US Highway 287, Childress, TX 79201

Dates Open: Thursday through Sunday 8am-7pm, weather permitting

Fees:  $15/rider

This park is open with special restriction for public safety. And the TX OHV Decal is required. ATVs and UTVs are only permitted on trails.

3.Creekside Edge Offroad Park

Location:  13580 Highway 59, Splendora, TX 77372

Dates Open: Friday 12pm through Sunday 6pm

Fees: $20/OHV(fee covers one vehicle and one rider)

This park is about 350 acres and all types of vehicles are welcome. Camping is permitted in developed sites only.

4.River Run ATV Park

Location: 2001 CR 3315, Jacksonville, TX 75766

Dates Open: Daily

Fees: $20/rider(Call for special event rates.)

This park is about 2000 acres with a 50 miles of muddy trail. All types of vehicles are welcome. Camping and camp fire are only permitted in developed sites.

5.Sabine ATV Park

Location: 7505 State Hwy 63 East, Burkeville, TX 75932

Dates Open: Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Fees: $20/person(entry)

The mainly terrain of this park is mud, water crossings and mud bogs. Almost all types of vehicles are welcome expect for SUVs&Jeeps.
